In order to effectively service our client companies, relationships must be built on trust and open communication. We view the hiring process as having four stages:
First Stage: Defining the role and desired candidate
- Gaining a full understanding of the specific job content, departmental and organizational structure, career path opportunities as well as gaining a clear sense of the corporate culture that exists.
- Determining the appropriate experience, academic background, credentials and personal qualities desired for the position.
- Identifying the compensation range necessary to attract the desired background.
Second Stage: Candidate identification
- An LV team meeting is set to discuss the important specifications communicated by our client.
- An in depth review of our active candidate pool to assess and subsequently review the career opportunity with those individuals identified.
- Continued efforts generated by our consultants to identify candidates not active on the market however "top prospects" for the position.
- We then introduce resumes with any additional comments and insights on each candidate based on our interview and history with them.
Third Stage: Scheduling candidate interviews
- Coordinating interview schedules.
- Obtaining feedback to define candidate's level of interest in the opportunity.
- Discussing the candidate feedback with the hiring manager and presenting any key issues that may exist.
- Reviewing hiring manager feedback with the candidate and discussing the next steps in the interview process.
Fourth Stage: Presenting the offer
- Communicating compensation expectations.
- Coordinating the acceptance of the offer, the offer letter, and establishing the start date.
- Guiding the candidate through giving notice.
- Conducting references.
- Post hire follow up…feedback on the transition with new company.
